Big Bang Health Festival in Essen

Updated: Sep 23, 2022

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. David Matusiewicz, Prof. Dr. Jochen Werner and Prof. Dr. Alexandra Jorzig, the Big Bang Health Festival took place at the Colosseum in Essen from August 31 to September 01.

The first day consisted of a series of exciting pitches from various startups or established companies that deal with healthcare. Our CEO Thomas Saur also had four minutes for his presentation and told us how CUREosity came to be founded.

"One second can change everything."

He started with the personal strokes of fate that both he and the other two founders had experienced in their families. Thomas Saur then traveled through various countries around the world to gather new ideas and approaches for new rehabilitation methods.

In the process, he came across a global problem: the lack of therapy. 700 million people worldwide suffer from psychological or neurological diseases, and the numbers are rising. Solving this problem requires a creative and technical approach.

In the following, very pictorial story, he described how he discovered a playground on the island of Hainan in southern China, but where not children but elderly people were doing gymnastics.

"Playful learning is a creative approach to therapy."

On the technical side, there is VR technology that should be used to bring impaired people back to life.

"Virtual reality therapy is fast and is not slowed down by cognitive processes. It is designed to activate neuroplastic learning processes."

This laid the foundation for CUREO, our VR therapy system. If you can't believe the potential behind this technology, you are cordially invited to test our system. Simply contact us or make an appointment directly at: https://www.cureosity.de/en/terminvereinbarung
